Hammamhane

Hammamhane is tucked into Çukurcuma, Beyoğlu's antiques quarter, where old shops, galleries and cafés fill the sloping streets and the Museum of Innocence is just around the corner. The cafés and bakeries of Cihangir and Istiklal Avenue are a few minutes' walk, and the Tophane tram stop is about seven minutes away, reaching Sultanahmet in just four stops.

The concept here is refreshingly different. Instead of conventional hotel rooms, Hammamhane offers proper living spaces with kitchens, perfect for settling into Istanbul rather than just sleeping there. The interiors are bright and understated, with cork parquet floors, high ceilings, and a relaxed residential feel.

Entry-level rooms start at 22 square metres; however, the suites offer more space. The Superior Studio offers a generous 45 square metres, with a private kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, dining area and sofa. Some suites add terraces, and interconnected rooms are also available, making these spaces ideal for longer stays. The Loft room can accommodate up to 4 guests.

The hotel is joined to Çukurcuma Hamamı, a historic Turkish bath dating from 1831, and guests can step straight from their suite into its marble halls. Traditional rituals, scrubs, and massages are offered, with preferential rates for guests.

A generous breakfast of simit, local cheeses, olives, homemade jams and organic honey is served each morning. After that, the neighbourhood takes over, with an excellent choice of cafés, bakeries and restaurants in Çukurcuma and Cihangir.
