Set in a former 1920s bank building on Sarphatistraat, citizenM Amstel sits on the edge of the Plantage, one of the city's greenest and calmest neighbourhoods. The Amstel is a short walk away. The canal belt and Rembrandtplein, lively with cafés, bars, and restaurants, are about ten minutes away on foot, and ARTIS and the H'ART Museum are close by. Weesperplein metro station is right outside the door.

The ground floor is designed as one large living room. It features Vitra pieces and contemporary art. Locals come here to work and meet as much as guests do.

Rooms are compact but cleverly planned. Each has an XL king-size bed, a rain shower and an iPad that controls the lighting, blinds and temperature.
