Andaz sits on a quiet stretch of the Prinsengracht, between the Nine Streets and Leidseplein. The Nine Streets are about a two-minute walk. The Jordaan, with its narrow lanes, galleries, and brown cafés, is a short stroll north, and Museumplein is about a 20-minute walk. Trams from nearby Elandsgracht and Leidsestraat connect you with the rest of the city.
Playful Dutch Design
Dutch designer Marcel Wanders created every space in the hotel. His design draws on the building's past as a library and on Amsterdam's history. Delft-blue patterns, giant bell-shaped chandeliers and witty details appear at every turn, and nothing feels ordinary.
Rooms with Canal or Garden Views
Rooms start at 26 square metres and overlook the canal, garden, or atrium. Canal-view rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Prinsengracht. Every room has a seating area and a minibar with complimentary drinks and snacks, and some have a painted Delft-style washbasin. The Prinsengracht Suite has a large private terrace over the canal.
Renvy, Prins & Aap and the Garden Room
Renvy, from Michelin-starred chef Randy Karman, serves seasonal Dutch-inspired dinners from Wednesday to Saturday. Prins & Aap is a canal-side cocktail bar and restaurant with a daily Jenever Hour, free for hotel guests. The Garden Room serves breakfast, and a vintage saloon boat outside offers private dining cruises.
Essence Spa, Sauna & 24-Hour Gym
After a day of museums and canal walks, Essence Spa is a relaxing place to unwind. It has a sauna, steam room, and treatment rooms offering massages and facials, plus a relaxation lounge. A fitness centre completes the line-up.
Behind a canal-house gate, the hotel offers a courtyard garden, individually designed rooms, and a two-Michelin-starred restaurant in an 18th-century bakery.
