The 6 hotels with Private Pools

Superior Studio bedroom
Grand Palm Suite bedroom
Junior Sky View Suite bedroom

In a city built on indulgence, a private pool is the ultimate upgrade. Picture slipping into your own water at sunrise, with no loungers to reserve and no one else around.

Genuine private pools are rarer than you might think, so we've been especially selective. We only chose hotels where your pool is a true highlight of the stay. On the Palm, beachfront villas sit steps from the sand, while sky villas float high above the Gulf. Beside the Burj Al Arab, villas pair pools with hot tubs and sea views, while desert villas gaze across golden dunes. At JBR, sleek suites feature pools for long, lazy afternoons, and family resorts offer multi-bedroom villas and suites with space for everyone.

When privacy is the real luxury, nothing else compares.

Where JBR Comes Alive

Right on JBR's beachfront, FIVE LUXE puts The Walk's cafés, shops and promenade at its door, with Ain Dubai directly across the water. Dubai Marina is a short walk away, the sand starts at the hotel's private beach, and the JBR 1 Tram stop, which links to the Metro, is about seven minutes on foot. At sunset, this stretch of coast is one of Dubai's liveliest.

Ibiza Energy, Dubai Glamour

FIVE is home to some of Dubai's hottest party spots, and at JBR, Playa Pacha brings Ibiza-inspired pool parties to the beach, with international DJs and sunset beats. It also has a quieter side: a serene spa and Gulf views from almost every corner.

Sea Views, Spa Lofts and Private Pools

At 53 square metres, the Superior Studio is the smallest room here, with sea views, a kitchenette, and a standalone bathtub. From there, it gets indulgent. The Luxe Spa Loft has its own hot tub, spa bath and sauna. Many suites and residences, up to four bedrooms, come with a private pool, and some add a fully equipped kitchen and a sea-view terrace.

Beach Club Beats and a Rooftop Cocktail Bar

Playa Pacha serves Mediterranean dishes with views of Ain Dubai, before the beats take over by the pool and beach. Up on the rooftop, Paradiso pours creative cocktails. A rebellious Japanese restaurant, a French restaurant, a gourmet pub and an all-day Mediterranean spot with a traditional pizza oven complete the line-up.

ReFIVE Spa: The Ultimate Glow-Up

ReFIVE Spa is made for indulgence, from Omorovicza facials and a traditional Moroccan hammam to a healing salt-and-crystal massage on a quartz bed. Afterwards, unwind in the infrared sauna, brave the ice bath or float in the serene spa pool.

Riviera Calm on the West Crescent

Out on the Palm's West Crescent, the city's noise falls away. That's exactly the point. A secluded private beach faces the glittering towers of Dubai Marina across the water. The resort's own marina sits alongside, and a water taxi glides across to sister resort One&Only Royal Mirage. When you want the city, the Marina is a 20-minute drive away, and Downtown is about half an hour away.

Andalusian Palaces by the Sea

Step inside and you could be in southern Spain. Inspired by the Moorish palaces of Andalusia, the resort unfolds through elegant architecture, lush gardens and palm-shaded terraces. The hotel calls itself Dubai's most intimate seaside resort, and it lives up to the billing: calm, unhurried and wonderfully private.

Balconies, Sea Views and Private Pools

Space is the first luxury here: the Manor House rooms stretch to 65 square metres, and every room opens onto its own balcony. Many overlook the sea, and many include a private pool. For the ultimate escape, the two- and three-bedroom Beachfront Villas add a private pool, a sea-view balcony and the sand steps away.

Two Michelin Stars and a Lounge on the Water

Dinner here is an occasion. STAY by Yannick Alléno holds two Michelin stars for its ever-evolving French menu, while a seafood lounge perched over the water by the private marina pairs afternoon tea with impressive views. The all-day restaurant travels from the Mediterranean to the Middle East and Asia, and at the Pastry Library, guests can play pastry chef and create their own desserts.

Guerlain Spa in the Gardens

Tucked away in the gardens, the Guerlain Spa is a world of its own, with its own pool, private treatment suites and rituals created exclusively for the resort. Bastien Gonzalez's nail studio and Alexandre Zouari's hair salon add finishing touches, plus a Technogym fitness centre for those who can't skip a workout.

The Palm's Boldest Statement

Atlantis The Royal rises from the Palm's crescent beside its famous sister. Its stacked towers and sky bridges form one of Dubai's most striking silhouettes. The resort is designed so you never need to leave, but the city is within reach. Complimentary shuttles link it to Atlantis, The Palm. Taxis reach Dubai Marina in about 20 minutes, and Downtown in around half an hour.

Fire, Water and Endless Energy

This resort never sits still. At its heart, the Skyblaze Fountain sends fire and water 28 metres into the air, while DJs set the mood from the pools to the restaurants. Every stay includes unlimited access to Aquaventure, the world's largest waterpark, and the Lost World Aquarium, plus breakfast at the lavish Gastronomy buffet every morning.

Balconies, Sky Suites and Private Pools

Every room opens onto a balcony, and at 55 square metres there's space to spare, with views across the Palm or the open sea. The suites are exceptional: Sky Terrace Suites with sweeping sea-view terraces, Sky Pool Villas with private pools, the Sunscape Penthouse with an infinity-edge pool overlooking the Palm, and the vast Panoramic Penthouse, complete with a glass-walled pool. Families are well catered for, with family rooms, multi-bedroom suites sleeping up to eight, interconnecting rooms and a complimentary kids' club.

A Line-Up of Global Star Chefs

With eight celebrity chef restaurants, dining here is a world tour. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal holds a Michelin star, Nobu brings its signature style to the beach, and Estiatorio Milos overlooks the Skyblaze Fountain. La Mar, Ariana's Persian Kitchen and Ling Ling, with its sky-high lounge, complete a line-up that flows effortlessly from dinner into late-night drinks.

A Pool for Every Mood

There's a pool for every mood here. The Royal Pool is the resort's sunny centrepiece, Nobu by the Beach adds a grown-up pool by the sand, and high above it all, Cloud 22 is the adults-only rooftop infinity pool. AWAKEN Spa takes wellness to new heights with its Elements Retreat, featuring a halotherapy salt cave, a hydrotherapy pool, a snow fountain, and a charcoal sauna for guests who book a treatment.

Gateway to the Sun

Bab Al Shams means Gateway to the Sun, and it lives up to its name. Set among desert palms and golden dunes, about 26 miles from the city centre, it feels a world away from Dubai's skyscrapers. This is the place to swap traffic for silence, with sunsets over the sand and nights beneath a sky full of stars. A car or taxi is the easiest way to reach the Al Qudra desert.

Arabian Flair and Desert Adventures

Modern design meets Arabian flair, with Moorish-inspired rooms and palm-shaded courtyards. But the real magic lies beyond the walls, and few resorts bring the desert to life quite like this one. Start with complimentary camel rides and a falcon show, then go further: take 4x4 drives to spot Arabian oryx, sandboard down the dunes, stargaze in a desert majlis, or float over the sands at sunrise in a hot-air balloon.

Desert Pool Villas and Family Suites

Rooms are beautifully crafted, with cosy window-side nooks, spacious bathrooms and a refreshment station, while the suites add lounge areas and serene outdoor spaces. The showstoppers are the one- and two-bedroom Desert Pool Villas, each with a private pool, a kitchenette, and a terrace overlooking the dunes. Family rooms, two-bedroom family suites and a kids' club make it easy to travel together.

Feasts Under the Stars

Dinner at Al Hadheerah is a spectacle in itself, an open-air feast of Middle Eastern cuisine with live performances. Up on the roof, Anwā pairs crafted cocktails and Pan-Asian dishes with glowing desert sunsets. Meanwhile, Zala serves Mediterranean flavours from breakfast to dinner, and Ninive Bab Al Shams adds a sophisticated Oriental touch.

Hammam Rituals and a Desert Oasis

The spa draws on ancient healing traditions, offering restorative hammam journeys with mineral-rich ingredients from Maison d'Asa, plus facial and body treatments featuring sustainably sourced natural products. Between treatments, the spa's private outdoor pool offers a serene swim with views across the golden desert.

Gulf Views on the East Crescent

The East Crescent puts the Palm's best beach life right outside your door. Views stretch across the Arabian Gulf, the Palm's lagoons, and the Dubai Marina skyline. With everything included, most days revolve around the private beach and pools. When you're ready to explore, Aquaventure is a short drive along the crescent. The Mall of the Emirates is about a 20-minute drive, and Downtown is about a 30-minute drive.

Ultra All-Inclusive, Turkish Style

Rixos brings its signature ultra all-inclusive concept to the Palm, including meals, more than 100 international drink brands, a daily restocked minibar, non-motorised water sports, and live music almost every night. Add warm Turkish hospitality, and it's easy to switch off completely.

Sea Views, Suites and Private Pools

Rooms are generous at 53 square metres, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the gardens or the sea. Wellness Rooms open straight onto the lap pool and the beach, with their own garden and plunge pool. At the top end, the four- and five-bedroom suites sleep up to eight and offer private pools and sea views, while the King Suite offers panoramic views across the Gulf. Two- and three-bedroom family suites and a kids' club with its own cinema make it easy to travel together.

Turkish Grills to Spanish Steaks

Dining is generous and varied, from Turkish grills at the signature buffet to elegant Italian at L'Olivo, Mediterranean-Oriental seafood at Bodrum and prime cuts at Toro Loco, the Spanish steakhouse, with the à la carte restaurants open to guests staying four nights or more. Days drift into evenings at the swim-up bar, beachside lounge, and shisha lounge.

Ottoman Rituals at Anjana Spa

The Turkish-inspired Anjana Spa draws on signature rituals dating back to the Ottoman Empire, and the hotel includes a traditional hammam, sauna, and steam room in the stay. Fitness masterclasses, a beach jungle gym and a semi-Olympic lap pool keep active guests busy.

Beside the Burj Al Arab

This is one of Dubai's most celebrated stretches of sand. The hotel's wave-shaped silhouette rises beside the Burj Al Arab in Umm Suqeim. Wild Wadi Waterpark is right next door, and the souk and canals of Madinat Jumeirah are a short walk away. It's also a well-placed base for exploring. The Mall of the Emirates is about a 10-minute drive, and Dubai Marina and Downtown are each about 20 minutes away.

Wave-Shaped Icon, Made for Families

Shaped like a breaking wave, the hotel is one of Dubai's most recognisable landmarks, with a bright, breezy, energy-filled interior. It's also designed with families in mind. Every stay includes complimentary, unlimited access to Wild Wadi Waterpark next door. Children head off on adventures at the Jumeirah Circle kids' club, while parents unwind by one of the five pools or on the private beach.

Ocean Views, Suites and Pool Villas

Bright and contemporary, with warm wood and marble touches, every room overlooks the ocean and offers 50 square metres of space. The Ocean View Suites add private terraces and kitchenettes, and the Family Garden Suite opens straight onto the resort. At the top of the list are the Al Bahar Villas, each with its own private pool and hot tub. Family rooms and two-bedroom family rooms make it easy to travel together.

Beachfront Dining

Seven restaurants and bars cover every craving, from relaxed beachfront dining with the sand underfoot to a laid-back all-day café, poolside drinks, an elegant lobby lounge and a cake shop for sweet treats. Beyond the hotel, nearby Jumeirah resorts add even more choice.

Talise Spa by the Ocean

Hidden away on the first floor, Talise Spa is a calm retreat, inspired by its oceanfront setting. Treatments include a traditional hammam and the two-hour Total Sleep Ritual, using products from Aromatherapy Associates, LING New York and Maroc. Afterwards, guests can relax on the spa terrace overlooking the sea.
